Mardi 30/04\Mercredi 01/05

Today we practiced using the conditional and continued to develop our understanding of colonization and the consequences through a reading on “la négritude”.

A Faire:  Activite: Problèmes (l’Afrique packet-back page)  Choose 5 countries and write 2-3 problems that are the most serious and 2-3 that are the least serious for each.

Ex:  En Chine, _____ et _____  sont les problèmes le plus sérieux.  ____ et ____ sont le moins sérieux.
 
Travail en Classe (TEC):  In groups of 2-3, read 1st page of new packet using reading protocol from African stories (read out loud, discuss, look up words, etc).  Make sure you understand paragraphs before moving on to reading and interpreting the poem.  After finishing, respond to the following questions in English:
      1.  What is the message of the poem?
      2. How does it represent “negritude”?
      3. How does Damas express it in the poem
Devoirs:  finish reading/poem and answer questions with details; identify, label and study African Countries (in négritude packet)
