Mardi 29/04

Today practiced “Y” and “En”, practiced projects (interview start Thursday!) and talked about our upcoming cumulative project (rewriting fairy tales).

Lundi 28/04

Today we reviewed “Y” and learned another usage of “EN”.  We also played with our fortune tellers (“les cocottes”).

A Faire:  Write 5 creative, interesting questions in French that will generate an answer using « Y » (review all the prepositions that you can use !!!)  We will use these in class on Tuesday! 

Devoirs : Finish A faire if not done, pg 268 #8, practice project (interviews start Thursday!!)

Jeudi 24/04

Today we practiced the verb “croire” in the past tense and reviewed the pronoun “Y”.  We practiced and turned in the future and conditional projects, learned a new pronoun (“en”) and made fortune tellers using the future tense.

Mardi 22/04

Today we learned the verb “croire” and the pronoun “Y”.  We also peer-edited the future sentences of the project.

Today we did a group survey using the “Que ferais-tu?” handout, peer-edited the conditional sentences of the project, then we had a crepe partyJ

A Faire:  5 sentence paragraph summarizing group survey findings

Devoirsrevise conditional sentences, come with double spaced rough draft of future sentences, gather images for final poster (visual aid for interview)

Mardi 15/04

Today we finished the “Quoi de Neuf” presentations, practiced the conditional with a group speaking activity and started a new mini-project with the future and conditional.

Today we did some review of the conditional.

Jeudi 10/04

Today we practiced a little of the conditional, did some “Quoi de Neuf” presentations (we will continue Tuesday next week!) and spent time peer-editing and sharing the pen pal letters.

Devoirsbe prepared to present show and tells in small groups (w/comment cards from listeners!), pg 435 #6, finalize pen pal letter (must be handwritten, with appropriate headings/greetings/goodbyes/etc.!  Include social media contacts if you like!)

Mardi 08/04

Today we practiced “si” clauses with l’imparfait and le conditionnel, practiced “Quoi de Neuf”, and got pen pal letters from French students.

A Faire:  Respond to the following questions with specific, detailed answers and 2-3 sentences for each one.
1. Si tu étais au resto, que prendrais-tu ?
2. Si tu étais en France, que/où visiterais-tu ?
3. Si tu avais un rêve, qu’est-ce que ce serait ?

Jeudi 03/04

Today we corrected quizzes (this must be completed in tutorial by Wednesday if not done in class today!), practiced sharing our “quoi de neuf,” and learned about “le conditionnel de politesse.”

Today we reviewed the future and learned how to form the conditional (would do/happen).  I did some oral interviews as well and students peer edited drafts of “quoi de neuf” (show and tell).
