Lundi 23/05

We discussed the oral interview process and had time to practice.  We also did some dialogue presentations and learned about the final project.

Jeudi 19/05

We reviewed some pronouns, had dialogue practice time then did most presentations.

A Faire: 1)Prepare questions for a sondage.  Ask your classmates if they have/do the follwoing things :  Avoir des frères ?  Manger beaucoup de fruit ? (en)  Etudier souvent dans ta chambre ?  Jouer au tennis ? (y)  2) Prepare your answers to the quesions using pronuns.

TEC : Dialogue practice

Devoirs :  Prepare oral interview (future/conditional project)  be prepared to talk to me at length about 1 age in the future and answer the questions on the project handout.  Also review for final small test over all pronouns and future/conditional tenses.

We did some conditional practice, dialogue practice and shared our mini-projects in partners.

Vendredi 13/05

We had time to practice dialogues and work on staging them.  We also went over some grammar fixes for the mini-project and learned how to express things we will have completed at certain points in the future (futur anterieur: helping verb in future tense + past participle…don’t forget agreements with être!!), like “I will have graduated from college in 10 years.”

ObjectifStudents will practice and revise work done in the future and conditional tenses.

A Faire:  Translate the following sentences using the « futur anterieur » :
1.      You will have finished college.
2.      She will have gone to France.
3.      I will have had 2 kids
4.      Sophie and Marie will have returned home
5.      We will have fallen in love.

TEC : Rédaction en commun (Peer-edit) of « Mini-Projet du futur/conditionnel



Devoirs :  practice dialogue, Revise project and have final version for Tue (*Make sure to look at format for final version.  Ok to have multiple pages, just don’t put anything on the back—front side only!!), While working on final version of project, you may want to put together your “visual tool” for the interview…. 8 ½ x 11, images only—No words!

Mercredi 11/05

Most of the class was absent due to AP testing, so we used the time as study hall/opportunity to get caught up on missing work.

ObjectifStudents will use their time effectively to complete necessary coursework.

Devoirs :  final dialogue script—typed (1 copy for me and 1 for each member of group—I must get this by Thursday if you are not in class Wed!!), Rough draft, double spaced of mini-project (both sections, 20 sentences minimum but totally complete is best!)  *Consider using pronouns in your project writing as a way of exceeding expectations!!

We did some conditional practice, peer-edited dialogues, had some time for revision and learned about our new (summative) mini-project.

We practiced the conditional with “si” clauses and la politesse.  We went over some homework and had time to finalize dialogue rough drafts.

Mardi 03/05

We reviewed the imparfait and learned to use “si” clauses to express what would happen if a scenario, that is not reality, were true.  (Si + imparfait, resultat + conditionnel)  We also worked on some summative dialogues.
