Today in class we did the last questions from the “Questions à Discuter” slides, corrected quizzes and worked on the African story.  

Travail en Classe (TEC):  Imaginez une autre explication pour l’origine du nombril.  (En partenaire, en français, pas scientifique, à peu près d’une paragraphe)

Devoirs:  pg 228 #7, Reading exercises 1 & 2 from “L’Origine du Nombril”

Today we reviewed using more than one object pronoun in a sentence and started reading the second African story.

A Faire:  pg 229 #9 (write answer then do orally with a partner)

Devoirs:  pg 228 #8, write a sentence for each bullet point (pay close attention to whether the verb takes a direct or indirect in the context it’s being used!)

Test make-up by Wednesday end of the day (unless you’ve already made another arrangement with me!)

Déjeuner français- Thursday Rm. 128 (for make-up participation or extra credit!)

Quarter ends in 2 ½ weeks!  Turn in missing work before Spring Break!!!!

Lundi 11/03

Today in class we reviewed direct/indirect object pronouns (me, te, nous, vous) in imperative and infinitive constructions.  We also discussed the order of pronouns when using more than 1.

A Faire:  pg 208 #8 (write response only, do ½ affirmative, ½ negative)

All Quizzes must be made up by the end of the day Wednesday !

Today in class we reviewed using the “Questions à Discuter” slides and students had the opportunity to ask questions.  Then we took the quiz.

Today we used our discussion question slides to warm-up and review object pronouns.  We presented conversations, extended our understanding of object pronouns to use me, te, nous, vous, and discussed the “Tailleur” story.

Devoirs:  pg 205 #2 (choose 3 people, do an affirmative and a negative sentence for each.)  Bring any review questions you have to class—we’ll go over them before the quiz!

REVIEW:  PC/Imparfait, Direct/Indirect object pronouns, qui/que, dire, lire, écrire, vivre, verbs pg 220, vocab pg 225, connaitre/savoir, culture (Mardi Gras/Carnaval, crêpes)

Lundi 04/03

Today in class we reviewed direct/indirect object pronouns through questions and had reading group time to finish the story/discuss comprehension questions.  I also addressed some of the common mistakes being made with pronouns in the discussion question slides.  These must be revised for tomorrow/Wednesday (we are using them in class!)

Devoirs:  Le Tailleur exercises 1, 3, 4 ( you may discuss these in your reading group or with others but your responses must be written independently and in French!!)  Revise discussion question slide.
