Today we reviewed l’impératif and Y/En.

Today we did a sondage with the “contes de fées” questions, read “le Petit Chaperon Rouge” out loud in groups, and worked on finalizing the rough drafts (partie 4) of the project (contes de fées).

Today we practiced contes de fées vocabulary and l’imparfait.  Then we worked on projects while I did oral interviews.

Use questions given or your own inspiration !), study contes de fees vocabulary in project packet (will be on next quiz), use 10 new words from contes de fees vocab in sentences and UNDERLINE! (you may use more than 1 in a sentence), do any work necessary to be able to turn in part 4 rough draft and be revising the other 3 parts in class on Thursday Make sure you’ve read “Le Petit Chaperon Rouge” and done the vocab for Thursday!!

Today we reviewed the imparfait, looked at some examples of fairy tale presentations, and then worked on les contes de fées.  We turned in partie 3 at the end of the class period today.

Read “Le Petit Chaperon Rouge”, make sure you can understand what you’re reading (you should be able to summarize what you read in English if you understand).  Define the bolded vocabulary words/phrases based on how they are used in the context of the story (you will need to use wordreference.com to help you along; you may need to look up parts of phrases or figure out infinitives to find the meanings!) You will TURN IN this vocab on Monday!  Catch up on project if necessary!

Today we reviewed “Y” and learned another usage of “EN”.  We also played with our fortune tellers (“les cocottes”).

Today we practiced the verb “croire” in the past tense and reviewed the pronoun “Y”.  We practiced and turned in the future and conditional projects, learned a new pronoun (“en”) and made fortune tellers using the future tense.

Today we practiced a little of the conditional, did some “Quoi de Neuf” presentations (we will continue Tuesday next week!) and spent time peer-editing and sharing the pen pal letters.

Today we continued to practice les compléments d’objet indirect and le projet: personnage célèbre in class.  We did an in-class reflection on the Powerpoint: La culture de manifester and had small group discussions about them.

A Faire:  pg 228 #6 (write Joel’s lines only, do orally in partners)

Handouts/Class Materials:  Réflexion:la manifestation et la grève.

Devoirs :  pg 228 #8 (decide if the verb takes a COD/COI and write a logical response for each bullet point. Pay attention to what is being asked and because many verbs take both!), write at least 2 sentences in French that represent your thoughts about strike/protest/revolution in France and how it compares with our “culture”.  Illustrate with at least 1 picture.  We will be putting these on a bulletin board in class.
